Instructions for Biographic Information
(for Deferred Action)
USCIS
Form G-325A
OMB No. 1615-0008
Expires 08/31/2025
Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
What Is the Purpose of This Form?
An individual must submit Form G-325A as part of a written request that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS) exercise prosecutorial discretion and grant deferred action. USCIS considers deferring action on a case-by-case
basis. Deferred action is a discretionary determination to defer removal of an individual as an act of prosecutorial
discretion. Individuals who receive deferred action will not be placed into removal proceedings or removed from the
United States for a specified period, unless the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chooses to terminate
deferred action.
USCIS will use the information you provide on this form to process your request for deferred action.
Complete this biographical information form and include it with the request you are submitting to USCIS.
If you have any questions on how to complete the form, call our USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. For TTY
(hearing impaired) call: 1-800-767-1833.
Who May File Form G-325A?
If you are inside the United States and are not in removal proceedings, you may request military deferred action and non-
military deferred action (other than deferred action related to DACA, Violence Against Women Act self-petitions, A-3,
G-5, T and U nonimmigrant status) from USCIS by submitting this form with your written request for deferred action and
supporting evidence.

If the request is not signed or if the requisite signature on the request is not valid, USCIS will reject the request. See

(fingerprints, photograph, and/or signature) at any time to verify your identity, obtain additional information, and conduct
background and security checks, including a check of criminal history records maintained by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), before deciding on your application or petition. After USCIS receives your form and ensures it is

If you fail to attend your biometric services appointment, USCIS may deny your request.
